No matter how much we try to run away from it, the truth is that we live in a hypocritical world. Our celebrities talk about sugar being dangerous for our health, but they promote processed sugary products for money. Women talk about empowering other women on social media, but they spread malicious gossip about their friends in private. People advocate for the rights of minority communities, but won’t give money to a transperson at a traffic signal.
Speaking of which, women have been sharing controversial opinions about other women and calling out their toxic traits.
The thread on X highlighted our own shortcomings as women – how we refuse to take accountability for an unhappy life, how we go out of our capacity to make sacrifices for the sake of others, how we often pull down other women just to feel better about ourselves, and the list goes on.

Have a look:
Many working women undergo silent financial abuse by men who have learnt the feminist term of equality without understanding equity. They are expected to spend their salary without guarantee of security in oldage. If a divorce happens they often realize they have no savings left https://t.co/4uM86m7y38

‘Looks don’t matter’ is a lie manufactured to make you settle for less than the best. You deserve a man whose mere shadow makes you go weak in the knees. Don’t sacrifice your sexual desire to “give the nice guy a chance”. Dating is not a MNREGA scheme. https://t.co/NSuJdLGRBQ

Many women have ruined their lives because they don’t know when to cut their losses and leave before any real damage is done. It’s crucial to hold ourselves accountable for our choices. Once you have enough information to make an informed decision, don’t hesitate to act wisely. https://t.co/6EKWuf39IF

It’s totally fine to not want to be a “girlboss” and to simply have a job that you enjoy or that pays the bills. I have no desire to be management or a VP and am perfectly happy to end my career as an individual contributor as long as I find the work interesting ? https://t.co/PW68gQu3Hh

Women do NOT support women. It is a lie that they’re forcing people to believe. There’s no such thing as “your body, your choice ”
If there really was such a thing, they wouldn’t have a problem with me choosing to cover up completely. https://t.co/oaosp4qzsf— سهلة (@Aaishahhh20) July 14, 2024
Decentering men is the hardest thing women have to do in life and it’s an ongoing struggle. Even the most vocal feminists perform so much for male validation and it’s sad (we’re all guilty of it) https://t.co/zNR4Rny40R

A lot of the morals/ values we learn about being a good woman/mom/partner are self abandoning. They don’t help us love people better they just turn us into enablers & self sacrificers that expect everyone else to take care of us instead of prioritizing & taking care of ourselves https://t.co/0SNXNFCxdf

Your friendships are more important than your romantic relationships. Every relationship you ever have will end except one, if you’re lucky. Your friends are there to love you all the way through life. Treat them like they’re less than and you’ll be very, very lonely. https://t.co/dIzvOJTESS
