For many Indians, moving to a foreign country is the ultimate middle-class dream. The excitement of better opportunities, higher salaries, and a more luxurious lifestyle drives them to leave behind their homes in search of a better future.
However, Aditi Dwivedi’s story offers a different perspective. After living in the United States for 14 years, Aditi returned to India, settling in the tier-two city of Nagpur. In a video she shared on Instagram, she explains how her life in Nagpur is way better and practical than that in the US.

Living expenses in a tier-two city, she explained, are significantly lower than in the US. Aditi, who now lives with her parents, revealed that now she is able to save almost 50% of her salary. She does not have to pay for rent or utilities, only contributing to minor household expenses, which dramatically lowered her monthly costs.
Aditi works a fully remote tech job for a US-based company. Her day begins with a 30-minute walk and an hour-and-a-half of yoga before starting work at 2 PM which continues till 9 PM. She has access to inexpensive food, less crowded streets, and a more peaceful lifestyle.

Several people, especially those who live away from home, agreed with what she had to say. They shared their own experiences and desires to come back to India or move to a smaller city and live a more comfortable life. Have a look:
