Skipper Virat Kohli and his boys have given us a lot to be proud, as India clinched their first win in Australia after a decade. That was one hell of a close call, Ravi Shastri can tell you exactly how close, but we did it! We’re barely done celebrating this 31-run win over the host team in the test at Adelaide. And already the excitement for the next one in Perth has begun!
Good win. Onto the next one. ? pic.twitter.com/xtqetxM6vm

For Kohli, there’s another reason to celebrate! It’s his and wife Anushka Sharma’s first wedding anniversary! One year since Virushka gave us wedding goals!
Anushka has been in the Land Down Under these past few days leading up to their anniversary, and cheering on her hubby and the team.
Today, Virat, Anushka and the rest of the team jetsetted to Perth for the next test.
Former English captain Michael Vaughan, who was on the same flight, shared a nice gesture from Virushka that he witnessed on the flight.
Turns out, Virushka gave up their Business Class seats so Indian pacers could be seated in them instead, and be more well rested in time for the Perth test.
Witnessed @imVkohli & his wife give up their Business class seats to allow the Quicks more comfort & space on the trip from Adelaide – Perth !! Danger Australia .. Not only are the quicks more relaxed .. The Skipper is managing his troops with great human touches #AUSvIND

Vaughan’s tweet got much love from cricket fans, who thought the gesture was befitting a captain.
Even Aussie spinner Brad Hogg tweeted about it!
Classy.

Leaderon waali baat!
That's what LEADERS do. https://t.co/mZGJkHSwk4

This not-so-subtle play on words!
Woww…these guys R a CLASS APART!!! https://t.co/LsXbO6j8Bf
— RAHUL (@RAHULorTYSON) December 11, 2018
Sweet, no?
And they did it on their first wedding anniversary too… https://t.co/r1u1wtXpsO https://t.co/FXZSVDoPLq

That reminds me, did you check out the beautiful unseen pictures and video that Virushka shared from their wedding? The captions are just <3 !
Kar di na skipper waali baat!
There are reasons why I dislike him SOMETIMES but this ain't one of them. The guy loves his pacers more than his wife. https://t.co/mggBEKeIST

Some fans also pointed out how this gesture was actually something M S Dhoni had done back during the 2015 World Cup!
This was earlier done by Dhoni in 2015 World Cup. The small flights in Australia don't have enough Business class seats and are reserved for the captains. Dhoni gave up his seat for Umesh Yadav, Shami and Mohit Sharma. #AUSvIND https://t.co/v1oqXlNp83

I remember Dhoni used to do the same when we were touring overseas. Nice to see Kohli doing it too ? https://t.co/ug8dGBSn98

They were glad Kohli was carrying forward Mahi’s legacy!
Carrying forward the legacy of MSD, dhoni did the same thing in 2015 WC. https://t.co/BARWLQlY6Z

However, many from the lot, while appreciating the gesture by Kohli and Anushka, couldn’t help but wonder why they had to do this in the first place.
Why weren’t there enough Business Class seats for the entire team?
While it's an absolute class act from King Kohli, I wonder why @BCCI can't think of this. Minting millions from game and your players travel Economy. https://t.co/9v11kyATY7

Yo wassup with that BCCI?
Why is the captain getting business class and the team economy? @BCCI
Anyway, lovely gesture https://t.co/45cQ2f1q4w

One of the explanations that were offered seemed to make sense. Often domestic flights don’t have enough Business Class seats. It’s probably the case here as well, and would’ve been back in 2015 when Dhoni had to do it too.
A few peeps went ahead and asked BCCI to tie up with an airline and have a charter plane for our Men in Blue. And let’s just say, that’s a WIP!
