In case you missed it, Pune recently had seen the installation of tyre killers in order to restrict vehicles from driving on the wrong side. The move by the management spread like wildfire, successfully grabbing the headlines on all social platforms.
However, in a significant change of decision, the tyre killers which were introduced to ensure the safety of children of a nearby school has now been removed. Speaking about the same to Pune Mirror, traffic police inspector, JD Kalaskar said,

“The spikes are very sharp and can turn fatal if someone falls there. Especially with the school around, the risk is severe. They had not sought permission for any such installation. Even though it has been put up inside the township, the road is being used by the masses and we have to ensure their safety.”
The Police sent a legal notice to the management asking them to remove the killers that were planted at the Amanora Park Town a month ago at a cost of about 1.75 Lakh. Obeying the orders, the management has now eliminated the deadly metal strips. However, it is believed that the risk of wrong side driving saw a significant fall during the time period.
Speaking about the same, Sunil Karate, Vice President of Amanora said,
