Cyberbullying and online harassment are the new age problems that many of us have dealt with, thanks to the ardent use of smartphones and widespread dissemination of personal information over online platforms.
Very recently, eminent writer and singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi took to Twitter to share her ordeal. Krishnamoorthi received a vulgar text on her Facebook account from a person who claims to work at the ‘National Crime Prevention Council’.
She was quick to tweet the screenshot of the text message to the Mumbai Police and seek their help.
When someone claims to work on National Prime Prevention council & harasses women this way @MahaCyber1 @MumbaiPolice pls take note. This message was sent to me on @facebook ! pic.twitter.com/KJ0OfUUqNy

Twitter was appalled and reiterated that it could happen to our loved ones as well:
What the hell?

For those making fun of this, it could happen with your loved ones as well so think before trolling somebody. She is our sister. Let's for once stand up for the respect of the women.

What nonsense is this. Such people need to be put in the asylum immediately.

True that 100 %.. it's an ongoing challenge to protect the children from Perverts like these esp. since the patriarchy is so stuck up about the holiness of protecting the sanctity of what essentially resembles a pair of stunted boiled quail eggs and limp overcooked noodles ?
