Disgraceful! Sonu Nigam Pelted With Stones At Delhi College Fest, Fans Express Outrage

Sonu Nigam has been an icon for an entire generation, especially those born in the late 80s and 90s. His voice has been the soundtrack to our childhood, our heartbreaks, and our celebrations. From ‘Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin’ to ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho,’ his songs have defined emotions for millions. So, to see him being pelted with stones and bottles during a live concert? That’s nothing short of disgraceful.

The shocking incident took place at Delhi Technological University’s (DTU) Engifest 2025 on Sunday. Sonu Nigam, who was performing for a crowd of over one lakh students, was forced to stop midway when some unruly attendees started throwing stones and bottles at the stage, putting him and his team at risk, reported Hindustan Times.

Despite the chaos, the 51-year-old singer remained calm and addressed the crowd, saying, “Main aapke liye aaya hun yahan pe so that we can all have a good time. I’m not asking you to not enjoy, but please aisa na kariye.”

He urged them to maintain decorum as his team members were getting injured.

Geetika, a student from Daulat Ram College, said, “It was shameful to see that just because of a few unruly students, a legend like him had to pause and request the audience to behave.”
