Rishabh Pant Wins Hearts By Actually Turning ‘Babysitter’ For Tim Paine’s Kids

Apart from the exceptional quality of cricket on display, the ongoing Test series between India and Australia has been marked by some crazy on-field banters. And two of the cricketers who have been playing an active part in the sledging are Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and his counterpart Tim Paine, the man leading the Aussies.

The battle of words between the two started with Paine taking the first step during the third Test at Melbourne. In a bid to get under the youngster’s skin, Paine taunted Pant by highlighting MS Dhoni’s inclusion in the upcoming ODI series. But that’s not all. Paine went onto ask Pant if he could babysit while the skipper takes his wife on a movie date!

“Tell you what big MS is back in the one day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes.. They need a batter. Fancy that extend you Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too… get him a water front apartment. Have him over for dinner. Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids.”

However, Rishabh Pant was just waiting for his turn to turn the tables. When Paine came in to bat the next day, Pant got his mind games on point by terming him as a ‘temporary captain’ serving until Steve Smith bursts into the scene.

But wait. Rishabh Pant wasn’t done yet. He actually took Paine’s words seriously and gave the Aussie’s wife and kids a visit. The picture was uploaded by Tim Paine’s wife Bonnie Paine on Instagram, who labeled the 21-year-old Pant as the ‘best babysitter’.
