When we grew up we realised that some of the most difficult things we got to do are our A) household chores, and B) find someone with whom we can share everything with without being judged or ridiculed. And just like any other hopeless adult who sucks at getting their lives in order, we haven’t been able to do any of those.
Hence, to make peoples lives easier, one man from Japan runs an online service named “Ossan Rental” via which you can book a middle-aged man to do household chores, listen to your life’s problem, and offer advice for just 1,000 Yen which is just Rs. 600!

According to sources, the online service was started by 50-year-old Takanobu Nishimoto in 2012 from his home in Tokyo. “Ossan” is a term for the word “middle-aged”. In Japan, middle-aged men are often made fun of for their receding hairline, beer bellies and unhygienic habits. Hence, Nishimoto decided on this specific name to dispel the negative stereotype surrounding Japanese men.

The services offered by Ossan Rental include career and love advice, companionship, +1 for a party or at the bar, or even moving around furniture for a lone person.

Nishimoto ensures his client’s safety by screening everyone thoroughly before hiring them. He makes sure they don’t have a criminal record and prohibits them from engaging in any physical relationship with the client.
The trend has become so popular that others have launched websites offering the same services across Japan.

Can someone please start this service in India too? I really need someone to do my chores!
