Stray cats are a common sight in many cities, and adopting them can make a big difference in their lives. Recently, Nari’yal Cosmetics, a beauty brand in Pune, welcomed a new furry friend to their team – a sweet little kitten. To celebrate, they held a traditional Indian naming ceremony, known as a ‘naamkaran samaroh.’ The video of the event has been getting a lot of love on Instagram.
In the video, employees of Nari’yal Cosmetics are seen performing an aarti, for the kitten, who has white and orange patches. They applied a tilak and showered the kitten with marigold petals. The kitten was officially named Cocaya during the ceremony.
After the naming ceremony, the celebration continued with a cake-cutting event. One of the employees helped the kitten ‘cut’ a chocolate cake. The video then shows the kitten exploring the office, its new home.
Nari’yal Cosmetics shared the video on Instagram and mentioned that Cocaya is a rescue kitten.
“And we named her COCAYA! She’s a rescued baby. Two of our team members found her,” read the caption.
