It’s So Cold In The US, People Are Getting Robbed At Gunpoint For Their Canada Coats!

Thanks to the Polar Vortex, Chicago is wrapped under a thick blanket of snow with chilling temperatures. While some people are making the most of the frigid weather by sharing videos of ‘boiling water challenge’, others are posting incredible pictures of the wrath of winters with ‘freezing toilets’. With all this already making headlines for the country, some bizarre incidences of coat robbery are also coming up lately.

As winter tightens its grips over the North, videos of common people being robbed of their expensive Canada Goose coats are making rounds on the internet. Canada Goose is an expensive clothing brand that offers one of the warmest high-end winters wears that cost as high as $1,000 (71,000 INR) per coat.

CCTV surveillance footage of the streets in Chicago shows goons robbing people for their warm jackets on gunpoint.

The viral video shows two goons attacking a 50 something man. They punch him and one of them snatches away the coat from the victim’s back. The robbers also flash a gun before attacking the victim in the video. They later run away with his wallet and Canada Goose coat.

The Chicago police have registered at least six cases of such robberies in the city in last one week, reported CBS News.

A chilling wave of Arctic air has hit Chicago and the temperatures have dropped to -40°C at night. People from all over the North are sharing unbelievable pictures of the freezing weather on internet. From a freezing soap bubble to mid-air frozen hair, these pictures and videos of the freezing city speak for themselves.
