Engineer Leaves Noida’s ₹64K Rent Behind, Finds Peace & Savings In Goa For ₹19K

Remote jobs have completely changed the way people work and live. Many professionals, especially in tech, are no longer tied to offices in big cities. This flexibility has led to people moving out of expensive metro cities to calmer, more affordable places.

One such person is Raj, an engineer working in the Web3 space, who recently shifted from Noida to Goa. And the difference in lifestyle, especially rent, is something that anyone would be happy about.

Earlier, Raj and his flatmates were paying a whopping Rs 64,000 a month (excluding maintenance) for a 3BHK apartment in Noida. The apartment had a view that went viral for all the wrong reasons – it showed nothing but another dull building in a packed urban area.

“A move out of Delhi NCR was long time coming since I grew up and pretty much spent my entire life there — and I was done with air pollution,” Moneycontrol quoted him saying.

Now living in Goa, Raj shared that his rent is just Rs 19,000 per month. And this time, the view actually is dreamy. His apartment has a covered patio that opens up to lush greenery, not concrete walls. He also mentioned that the apartment came with essentials like an inverter and high-speed internet.

People online admired how he confidently made a decision for his well-being without being influenced by the usual pressure of buying a home or sticking to a metro city. Many envied his freedom and wished they had a remote job and salary that allowed them to do the same. Others simply called it a smart move – less rent, more space, cleaner air, and a much better quality of life!
