This year, among the prominent international celebrities gracing the red carpet at Cannes, a young girl from Baranwa, Uttar Pradesh, realized an incredible dream she hadn’t even dared to imagine. Nancy Tyagi, an emerging fashion content creator, made her stunning debut at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. She showcased her talent in a mesmerizing pink ruffled gown with an impressively long train, crafted entirely by her own hands.
However, the pink gown wasn’t the only outfit she stitched for the event. She had a second look too, an even more dazzling one, which she created with her own hands.
Like all of her other outfits, the material for this outfit was also sourced locally and made using her mother’s old sewing machine, which she has now made her own. It is an embroidered saree with grey and lavender hues.
The saree has a bit of a train towards the bottom and a long pallu. She has stitched a head-cover for it as well, tying together the entire look.
She is the moment, ladies and gentlemen!
What a gorgeous outfit!
Nancy Tyagi shared a video on social media which captured her journey from sourcing the material, stitching the outfit and finally wearing it for her event. Have a look:
