Man Asks MLA To Find Him A Bride Because He Voted For Him During Elections, Watch

The MLA of Charkhari, Uttar Pradesh, Brijbhushan Rajput, recently went to a petrol pump to refuel his vehicle. There, 43-year-old Akhilendra Khare, a worker at the petrol pump, made an unusual demand – help him find a bride! He was able to make this demand because he had voted for the MLA in the previous elections and wanted him to return the favour.

Khare, who admitted he’s been single for a while, told the MLA, “I was born on Karva Chauth, but there’s no one to observe it for me.”

The MLA jokingly asked, “Why did you choose me for this job?”

To this, Khare replied, “I voted for you.”

The MLA went on to ask, “So, I’ll have to get you married? Have you asked anyone else?”

The fun didn’t stop there. When asked about his preferences for a bride, Khare confidently stated that caste was no issue for him, earning a nod of approval from the MLA, who said he’d help him find the woman meant for him. He also inquired about the man’s finances and as it turns out, his monthly earning is Rs 6,000 and he has 13 bighas of land that’s worth crores.

Here’s a video of their conversation which the MLA posted on his Facebook page:

Safe to say, this election promise just got a whole lot more personal!
