In today’s world, a person’s financial credibility matters more than ever. One major factor that determines this is the CIBIL score, a three-digit number that reflects a person’s creditworthiness. It ranges from 300 to 900. The higher the score, the better the financial standing. Banks and other financial institutions usually use this score to assess a person’s credibility for loans, credit cards, etc.
Speaking of CIBIL scores, a groom from Maharashtra’s Murtizapur was rejected by the bride’s family for his low CIBIL score.

According to Hindustan Times, both families had met to finalize the marriage, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, things went south when the bride’s uncle decided to check the groom’s financial history.
When he asked for his CIBIL score, he realised how the groom had multiple loans in his name from different banks. He had a very low CIBIL score. This means that he had missed payments and was financially unstable.
Concerned about his niece’s future, the uncle objected to the marriage, arguing that the groom’s financial burden makes him an unsuitable partner. The bride’s family agreed, and the wedding proposal was withdrawn immediately.

If a person has a low CIBIL score, it is a signal of financial irresponsibility. The person may have taken several loans but failed to pay them, or must have paid them after the due date. They might also have committed fraud.
To have a financially unstable partner is a burden.
