Fans of Hindi cinema can be found across the globe. From Indonesians recreating SRK films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ to Dutch people flawlessly singing songs from the 90s, Bollywood transcends borders.
Now, a group of Iranians have recreated the song ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan Jaane Jahan’ from the 1975 film ‘Sholay’. The Ramesh Sippy film gave us some iconic characters like Gabbar Singh, Basanti, Jai, and Veeru which are remembered even years after its release.

I hope this tweet somehow finds its way to the Indian Twitter. This is the Iranian generation that grew up with Indian movies and on top of all the absolute Bollywood gem that was Sholay (1975), which is the film that these party goers are humorously reenacting. Made my day ?? https://t.co/9mKkR5WcYj

People lauded Iranian Basanti for dancing on plastic cups (instead of broken glass) and Gabbar’s men for looking menacing holding toy guns.
Loved the performance. Songs and dances transcends borders, languages religion ,ages.

Also, the gentle-looking Gabbar, the guy next to Dharmendra holding what is supposed to be a firearm and the plastic cups falling at Hema’s feet. This is so lovely, it made my day.

I randomly came across this video and can’t tell you how much I loved it! This is sooo wonderful and full of passion. Happy to see the entire family / friends involved, incl the gentleman whose hands are tied up ??

I loved the guy enacting Dharmendra in this. He is religiously standing with his hands tied up ?
