Neeraj Chopra & Manu Bhaker Were Spotted Talking At An Event & Indians Became Matchmakers

Manu Bhaker is the new face of Indian sports to have come out of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She became the first Indian female athlete to win two medals at a single Olympics. Neeraj Chopra, on the other hand, brought home a silver Olympic medal, losing the gold to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem. These two athletes, alongside Sarabjot Singh, Swapnil Kusale, Aman Sehrawat, the Indian hockey team, and of course Vinesh Phogat have brought immense pride to the nation.

Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra were spotted talking at an event after the conclusion of the Paris Games, where Manu and her mother were also present. The manner in which Neeraj and Manu’s mother were interacting and the way he and Manu spoke privately later caused social media to make bizarre speculations.

Many were of the opinion that the two athletes were romantically involved, while others hoped for them to get married.

It was hilarious to see how social media turned into a bunch of Indian neighbourhood aunties who turn matchmakers for young adults around the block!

Putting all speculations to rest was Manu Bhaker’s father Ram Kishan, who said that she was still very young to get married.

“Manu is still very young. She is not even of marriageable age. Not even thinking about it right now,” NDTV quoted him saying.

On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra’s uncle said, “Just as Neeraj brought the medal, the entire country got to know about it. Similarly, when he marries, then everyone will know.”
