Indian Men Reveal Times When They Were Inappropriately Touched By Aunties Or Older Women

Some older women, especially those in their 40s and 50s, sometimes try to touch, flirt with, or even molest younger men, particularly those in their late teens and twenties. These women might see younger guys as attractive and might act on their feelings inappropriately. This can happen in different places like at work, social events, or even within families.

Cases like these are much more common than we think it is. Boys and young men do not usually report such issues because there is a larger issue of masculinity involved. Our society has strong ideas about what it means to be a man, including being welcoming of female attention. These stereotypes can make young men feel ashamed or embarrassed about being victims of unwanted advances.

Why do aunties shamelessly hit on young men?

Dear men, when you realise that you are being inappropriately approached or touched by older women, it is important to voice out your discomfort. If this is happening in your neighbourhood or family, report it to the elders in your family. If this is happening at the office or the gym, report it to higher authorities.

Do not let these incidents slide.
