We have come across many bizarre fashion products like luxury brand Bottega Venata selling ‘telephone cord’ necklaces for over ₹1 lakh, or Balenciaga’s ‘blanket bags’ costing over ₹2 lakh which reminded desis of the humble ‘kambal’.
Now, in a fresh backlash, Italian fashion house Gucci was slammed for its new range of kaftans being sold for an exorbitant price ranging from $2,100 (Rs 1.5 lakh) to $3,500 (Rs 2.5 lakh), News 18 reports.
Needless to say, it looks like the pretty everyday kurtas that hang in our wardrobes and are readily available in Indian street markets. It being sold at a hefty price by the luxury fashion brand certainly left people online scratching their heads.
