With the ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ spirit in mind, India welcomed US President Donald Trump with great exuberance today. While the Indian government left no stone unturned to make top-class arrangements for Trump’s visit, the citizens have also put their best foot forward to make his trip to India a pleasant and memorable one. After all, this is his first visit to India as the President of the United States.
The US president along with his wife, daughter, and son-in-law arrived in Ahmedabad for the first leg of his maiden trip, reports Times of India. Trump got a taste of India’s beautiful cultural diversity during the roadshow in Ahmedabad prior to his ‘Namaste Trump’ event, reports Indian Express. After his Gujarat trip, the President will fly to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. He will spend the night in Delhi and will receive a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan the next day.
