With the 2024 US presidential election just around the corner, the race for the White House is heating up. Scheduled for November 5th, the election pits former President Donald Trump against Vice President Kamala Harris in a highly anticipated showdown. As both candidates ramp up their campaigns, social media has become a major battleground to sway voters.
In a bizarre twist of events, former US President Donald Trump took his social media game a bit too far. Trump sent out an automated election message to Roshan Rai, a man from India, asking him to vote in the upcoming US presidential elections on November 5th, 2024.

The message enthusiastically encouraged Roshan to “get ready to VOTE FOR DONALD J. TRUMP” and promised him “important election updates for North Carolina.”
I’ll send you IMPORTANT ELECTION UPDATES for North Carolina. Make sure you are ready to VOTE FOR DONALD J. TRUMP by November 5th.

There’s just one small problem. Roshan isn’t American. He’s Indian. And Trump tagged him, assuming otherwise!
Naturally, Roshan’s response was nothing short of hilarious. He quickly clarified, “Trump can never be my President. Neither can Kamala Harris. Why? Because I’m Indian!”
Thanks, but you will never be my President.
Kamala Harris will never be my President either.
Actually I am from India ? https://t.co/gKbkNYa18P

People were left in splits after reading Trump and Roshan’s posts. Here’s what they had to say:

And guess what? Roshan wasn’t the only one! Turns out, many other Indians got the same message from Trump, asking them to make their votes count in North Carolina.

If Trump’s trying to win over new voters, he might want to double-check their citizenship first.
