Putting his quirky antics and love of making chai to use, Nagpur’s Dolly Chaiwala is a sensation today. As Dolly Ki Tapri has become nothing short of a tourist destination and brand collaborations are pouring in, Dolly’s life has taken a 180-degree turn. Today, he earns money not just from his humble tea stall but also from collaborating with creators and brands in the country. Recently, he even collaborated with a car dealer and posted a video with a Rolls Royce.

However, just the mere sight of a tea seller inside a Rolls Royce was enough to irk many people online who started showing their classist bias. People started debating about the state of jobs in the country and how engineers and doctors were unemployed while a tea seller was seen inside a Rolls Royce. Why is it that such kind of questions are only asked when a person born into poverty is able to achieve financial stability just via his social media presence?
More than 1 lakh Junior Doctors are Unemployed
More than 29% IITIANS are Unemployed
More than 42.3 % Graduate youth are Unemployed
But , Some instagram influencer & only fans creator are earning in crore.

As Dolly Chaiwala was being trolled and shamed online, several people came to his support and slammed those criticizing him for merely making money. Here’s what some of them had to say:
He is not taking away any one's job is he? He is neither a doctor or an IITian. He is not your competition but you see one guy (who you think should be poor), your jealousy and envy is evident. When you can see chaiwala as PM why not a chaiwala as owner of rolls royce. https://t.co/0V2fw4alYP

if so many people are unemployed blame it on your government and your education system, not a poor man who didn’t have the resources to get educated through your rat race and made something of what he had- shame on you for being jealous https://t.co/i3l7HQ0YAt

How come nobody thought about unemployment all this while as Ranveer Allahbadias and Tanmay Bhats made money from being 'influencers'? https://t.co/0ysGrlWZqd

The audacity of this guy. He just tweeted with stats how many people are unemployed in India but still supports the party that is governing India from the last 10 years. But has a problem with an insta influencer for earning in crores https://t.co/hZgmIhgTEB

lol, all these “hardcore capitalists” only have a problem with it when someone they don’t see as “classy” games the system that “posh” people game routinely https://t.co/WoIFKvRsi5

Somehow I feel this is what you expect of many people born in privilege. They want others less fortunate to do better in life, but not better (monetarily, socially, etc.) than them. Matlab unke driver ki beti nurse ban jaye to achchha hai, magar doctor ban gayi to zyada ho jayega https://t.co/NST5xwqMCR

And if you are so unhappy about the unemployment rates, then, why don’t you ask the govt? People are earning money anyhow they can because the government is not doing anything. https://t.co/yRYTD6997c

What sort of a logic is this? Most doctors earn far more than an average chaiwala ever will. Dolly chaiwala is an outlier. Also a lot of unemployment is a result of people being pushed into careers that their parents wanted. There is so much at play and you deduced this? https://t.co/AeuzCkTAuu

The kind of opportunities Dolly is receiving today is purely out of hard work. Why should anyone have a problem with it?
