How long could you stare at your wife?
Asked L&T Chairman S.N. Subrahmanyan to his employees while justifying working 90 hours a week, including on Sundays. The fact that he even suggested that an employee should not spend time at home and come to the office instead shows his sheer lack of thinking about a life outside work. Just because he spent his life working for the company, working long hours and on the weekend (as was mentioned by him), he expects everyone working under him to have the same kind of perspective when it comes to work – which is unfair, unrealistic and downright selfish.
While the internet has been abuzz regarding the work-life balance debate, slamming L&T Chairman S.N. Subrahmanyan for his toxic view about work life, there was a set of other people – the romantics – who shared how even 90 hours isn’t enough for them to stare at their partners. These people, completely enamoured by their partners, want to get back home from work as soon as possible and spend time with their families.
Here’s a look at some of the reactions to Subrahmanyan’s statements:

My goal in life is to work as little as possible, while earning enough to support my family, to spend as much time as I can with my wife. https://t.co/nP239PLnkz

If I had a partner, I’d spend 90 hours a week staring at her and be happier and more productive than I’ve ever been https://t.co/1hlHEqLMuN

The only thing I’m capable of doing for 90 hours is stare at my wife( if I get married) https://t.co/n6i2Ht2Y6C

I don’t know man. My favorite place to be in the entire world is home. The only other person there is my wife, with whom I’ve lived for 10 yrs. I don’t even have to stare at her, just being in her presence, simply listening to her, even breathing the same air, feels comfortable. https://t.co/vJDMmlRBop

Gosh!! Like a lifetime would not be enough for me… I could stare at my man, wordlessly forever.
Who are these men loving? https://t.co/7NIe7NSiAs— poonam (@poonamkachanddd) January 10, 2025
These people, who value family and relationships over everything else, are the real gems!
