If you think being a professional and applying for jobs at different companies is hard, try being a startup founder who every day is flooded with applications that scream, “I didn’t even try”. Ananya Narang, the CEO of a Delhi-based startup named Entourage, found herself in this exact situation. She recently shared a screenshot of a job application on X that left her (and the internet) in stitches.
The job application that she received was not only completely AI-generated but was not even customized according to the applicant’s experience and skillset. The candidate forgot to replace the placeholder text with their actual skills and experience, resulting in a hilarious blunder.
In the cover letter, the applicant wrote, “I’m proficient in [mention your key skills, e.g., graphic design, social media strategy, research], and I’m passionate about [explain briefly how you can add value]. My previous experience includes [briefly highlight relevant experience or projects].”
Have a look at Ananya’s post here:

You should also generate a prompt telling him how to properly copy paste the generated reply, and add why he cannot be hired as he doesn’t even know how to copy paste.

As AI becomes a helpful tool, it’s equally important to ensure that it’s not doing all the talking (or writing) for us.
