This Creator Called A Croissant ‘Prashant’ & Now It Has Turned Into A Cultural Phenomenon

Let’s be honest – most of us have struggled to pronounce ‘croissant’ at some point. Some go full French with a fancy “qwah-son”, while others stick to the desi-fied “croi-sant”. No matter how hard we try, there’s always that one person ready to correct us. But one content creator’s hilarious mispronunciation has now given the internet a brand-new name for this flaky, buttery delight – ‘Prashant’!

Enter Ayush, a content creator known for his split-screen videos where he learns English words through tutorials. In one such video, he was confidently repeating the names of desserts when the AI voice in the tutorial showed a picture of a croissant and asked, “What is this called?” Without hesitation, Ayush responded, “Patties”. The AI then corrected him – “Croissant”. But Ayush, mishearing it in the most epic way possible, exclaimed in shock, “Prashant?!”

And just like that, the internet was never the same again. The video, now with over 17 million views has turned into a cultural phenomenon where people have quit saying “croissant” and are now calling the baked good “Prashant”. Brands and bakeries have joined in and honestly, people are having a blast!

So, the next time you walk into a café, be brave. Order a ‘Prashant’. Who knows? They might just understand what you mean!
