From cooking and cleaning to managing chores that keep the home running smoothly, they are the ones who ensure order in our busy lives. Which is why the day they don’t turn up, the entire household feels like it has collapsed into chaos.
Recently, a Bengaluru woman shared a heartwarming story about her domestic help that has now gone viral on LinkedIn. She revealed how her househelp informs her of leave in the most professional way possible, with well-written WhatsApp messages that look no less than official sick leave emails.
The woman admitted that her maid’s 10-year-old daughter is the one who types out these messages for her mother. And the results are impressive. One such message read: “I am not well I have cold and throat infection so I will be not coming to work today”, sent sharp at 6:43 AM. The Bengaluru woman praised the effort, giving her househelp’s professionalism “100/100.”

The post has since sparked a wave of reactions online. Many people pointed out how they don’t get such detailed leave notes even from their colleagues in corporate offices. Others compared it to their own experiences with domestic help, joking that in some places, maids don’t even bother to inform. They just don’t show up.
