For people who are looking to move to Bengaluru, our solid advice to you is to have good grades, get admission to IIM or IIT and have good ethics and manners. This is because without them, you’re neither going to get a job in the silicon valley of India nor will you get a house to rent in the city.
Earlier, a landlord asked for LinkedIn profile and write-up from a tenant looking for a house in Bengaluru.
Now, a man got rejected by a landlord in Bengaluru for his past mistakes. Taking to Twitter, a man named Shubh shared two screengrabs of a man’s conversation with a flat broker in Bengaluru.
The broker said to the man named Yogesh that the flat owner has approved his profile. To move forward with it, he needs to send his Twitter/LinkedIn profile, a copy of his joining certificate to the company, his 10th-12th mark sheets, and other documents like his Pan Card and Aadhaar Card along with a write-up about him.
Yogesh sends the required documents first thing in the morning to the broker. But shockingly, he got rejected because he got 75% marks in his 12th exams while the landlord wanted to rent his house to someone with 90%.
Sharing the screengrabs, Shubh wrote, “Marks don’t decide your future, but it definitely decides whether you get a flat in Bangalore or not.”

Apparently, the flat that the guy was looking for is a 3BHK in Indiranagar whose rent is Rs 80K.
haha, the owner asked for 80k per month when he came to know my cousin is shifting from canada to blr for 6 months for work purpose.

This is crazy to the next level. Take a look at how the internet reacted to these bizarre requirements by landlords in Bengaluru.

“Padhai likhai karo tabhi ghar bana paoge” papa was right ?

Bro it’s true. Also, if you tell your maid that you work in some IT company, she will ask you 30k monthly for the households, and by any chance if you are able to convince her that you don’t work in IT, then the charges drop down to 9k ?

Was the owner looking for a tenant or for a private tutor for his own kid?

My mom used to tell me as a kid ‘Padhai karlo warna bhoot aa jaega’. Millennials can now tell their kids, ‘Padhai karlo warna Bengaluru me flat nhi milega.’ LOL!
