A mother’s love knows no bounds. It doesn’t understand boundaries, nationalities, or rivalry. All it knows is love. After Neeraj Chopra won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in Javelin Throw, losing to his rival Arshad Nadeem, his mother Saroj Devi congratulated Nadeem and said he was like her son.
On the other hand, Arshad Nadeem’s mother, in an interview with the press after his historic win, said Neeraj Chopra was like her son and that he and Nadeem are like brothers.

“He is also like my son. He is Nadeem’s friend and also his brother. Wins and losses are part of the sport. May god bless him, may he win medals. They are like brothers, I’ve prayed for Neeraj too,” she said.
Here’s a video of her:

Several people online lauded Arshad Nadeem’s mother and were inspired by her kind heart and humanity. Here’s what some of them said:
Look, a mother from one religion and a mother from another religion have adopted each other’s sons as their own, but we are still drowned in the hatred of the same Pakistan and India.
