Coldplay fans in India, brace yourselves! The legendary British band has set the country abuzz with the announcement of their upcoming shows, and fans are already in a frenzy. It’s been years since they last performed here, and the excitement is off the charts as Chris Martin and his crew gear up to bring their ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ to our shores. The band is not holding back either, adding not one but three shows in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025. But that’s not all – Ahmedabad is also set to groove, with Coldplay taking over the Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25.
As expected, ticket sales aren’t the only thing heating up. Hotel prices are skyrocketing like never before, leaving many fans shocked and scrambling.

One unlucky fan named Samarth recently shared his frustration on X, revealing how he booked a hotel room near the stadium for Rs 1,800 just minutes after the Ahmedabad concert was announced, only to have his booking cancelled. In his post, he joked that the room’s price would probably soar to Rs 18,000 in no time. And judging by the buzz, he might not be wrong!
He shared a screenshot of the email notifying the cancellation of his booking:
Have a look at his post here:
Booked a stay near Narendra Modi Stadium 2 minutes after Coldplay Ahmedabad show was announced.

Several people online joined in his frustration and slammed hotels that are pulling off such acts. It is unprofessional, unethical and downright disappointing.
Same thing. Same hotel. Booked 2 months back. Got cancellation message today. Same thing happened for mumbai. Can we do something though? @bookingcom

It’s clear that the Coldplay craze has taken over, and the only thing crazier than the concerts might just be the hotel prices!
