2 Royal Enfields, 300 Days And 30000 Km. These Guys Made An Epic Journey Across India.

India has many roads to travel on in terms of beauty, navigation and pure experience.

Deepak Chauhan and Bhisma Choudhary skimmed through every corner of our country on a Royal Enfield Bullet exploring new roads alongside beautiful landscapes for a year.

Yes, for a year. 30,000 km in 300 days!

Deepak worked as a software testing engineer in a MNC while his friend Bhisma worked for BOX8, a food delivery company in Mumbai.

27th December 2014: They started their journey.

This is their route map. Ready, Set, Go.

Somewhere in my heart, there is a train of thoughts that feel that nothing beats the beauty of a road trip. Confused?

Wait. Let me explain it to you.

They started from Mumbai and reached Goa.

From Goa they moved towards Hampi and lived like hippies for a few days.

They covered the beautiful Western Ghats via Chikkamagaluru, Ooty, Coorg.

…and eventually reached Kerala.

Next stop was Kanyakumari.

After covering Rameswaram they took one of the most beautiful roads for travelling on a motorbike – Bangalore.

They completed 8300 km across South India and returned to Mumbai from Bangalore.

After realizing they have still enough driving stamina, they covered 3500 km across Gujarat and headed towards Rajasthan.

Knock knock. Who’s there? The Desert. The Desert who? The Desert of Rajasthan!

They reached Srinagar and then decided to moved east.

Visited Punjab, Agra and left for the beautiful city of Benaras.

Went back to Mumbai and started the journey again.

Decided to visit a few unconventional places in Maharashtra and left for Hyderabad.

The beautiful highway to reach Vizag was next on on their bucket list.

From Vizag they moved towards Odisha and entered the state.

And ended it by visiting their alma mater, ISM Dhanbad.

Moral of the story: Explore as much as you can, yourself. After all, nothing can beat the thrill of being on the road.

This trip can probably be called the father of Indian road trips.
