Ahmedabad Teen Commits Suicide As His Boss Forced Him To Have An Affair With His Wife

Amidst several cases of rape, assault, and harassment in the country, a 19-year-old boy reportedly committed suicide five months back after he was harassed by his boss in Rajasthan.

Nikhil Parmar from Gomtipur joined a firm in Vasna in 2018, reports TOI. After 10 months, Nikhil told his father that he did not wish to continue working with his employer as he (the employer) and his wife harassed him.

His father asked him to immediately leave the job. But the employer called Nikhil to collect his salary on July 14. Accordingly, Nikhil decided to visit his boss. On 15 July, his boss called Nikhil’s father and told him that he is taking his son on a tour to Rajasthan.

Days later, on July 20, his employer called Nikhil’s father and informed him that his son has committed suicide by hanging himself in the office premises.

An investigation was underway ever since. Recently, Nikhil’s cousins went through his phone and messages and found out that his employer had been harassing him for a long time.

The messages on Nikhil’s phone reveal that his boss had forced him to make his 25-year-old wife fall in love with him. He then asked him to break up with his wife and when Nikhil told his wife that he won’t be able to continue the relationship, she hurled abuses at him, reports NBT.

Nikhil had sent a message to his boss asking him to stop treating him like a slave. “You directed me to make your wife fall in love with me. I followed that and she also began loving me. We were into illicit relationships and then you wanted to end the relationship. You also threatened me that you would not give me any salary. Please, do not treat me like a slave. Have mercy upon me,” the message read.

While his wife kept forcing Nikhil to continue the relationship, her husband forced him to stay away from her. Unable to deal with the mental pressure, Nikhil allegedly committed suicide.

The employer and his wife have been booked under the charges of abetment to suicide and under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocity) Act.
