Sunny Kumar, an 18-year-old samosa seller from Noida, has achieved an extraordinary feat by scoring 664 out of 720 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024. Despite his challenging circumstances, Kumar managed to balance his studies with his job, selling samosas in Sector 12 for 4-5 hours daily.
Kumar’s inspiring story from being a samosa seller to finally studying medical was recently highlighted by Alakh Pandey of Physics Wallah, where Kumar took online coaching. In a heartfelt video, Pandey visited Kumar’s modest rented room filled with revision notes stuck on the wall beside the bed. Have a look:

Kumar recounted the many sleepless nights he spent studying, saying, “At times, I studied all night, which caused pain in my eyes.”
His day was equally busy, as he would set up his samosa stall after school, using the little time he had between school and work. Kumar’s journey wasn’t easy, as his father never supported his education. However, his mother’s encouragement pushed him to pursue his dreams.

Recognizing his perseverance and potential, Alakh Pandey has offered him Rs 6 lakh and promised to cover his medical college tuition fees.
