Meerut Boy Faints After Learning He Scored 93.5% In Class 10-Board Exams, Admitted To ICU

Every year, Indian students ride the emotional rollercoaster of academic milestones, particularly during board exam season. Anxiety grips them as they prepare for the exams, hoping to meet expectations which can often be unrealistic. There is tremendous pressure on them, often from families, peers and society in general, and they experience varying degrees of emotions which can take a toll on their health.

We say this because a 16-year-old student from Meerut collapsed after learning that he scored 93.5% in the Uttar Pradesh Board Class 10 exams.

According to Moneycontrol, the name of the boy is Anshul Kumar and he is a student at Maharishi Dayanand Inter College Modipuram. He was eagerly waiting for his results and he was expecting to perform well. However, he didn’t expect to end up with a brilliant score of 93.5%.

“Anshul was overjoyed when he initially saw his result. However, moments later, he suddenly collapsed, leaving us all in shock,” said the boy’s father.

When he couldn’t be revived at home despite frantic efforts, he was taken to the hospital and admitted to the ICU. He stabilised shortly after.

A student’s academic journey is a cycle of stress, anticipation, and resilience. Which is why it is very important for families to regulate such feelings. Don’t you think?
