If you ever wish to see the amount of litter that is accumulated in a stadium after a match, just stay back till the crowd disperses. It is shocking to see hundreds of plastic bottles, wrappers, packets, etc. lying on the ground. There have been a few instances where people stayed back and cleaned some of the mess. Such acts have set good examples for other people to follow.
Speaking of which, Bangladeshi under-19 cricketers were spotted picking up litter from the field after winning the U-19 Cricket World Cup against team India, reports The Indian Express.

According to NDTV, the match didn’t go down very well between team India and Bangladesh. Many cricket fans were left disturbed after Bangladesh’s alleged “rowdy” and “aggressive” behaviour in the field. However, for some, this act of cleaning litter from the field might have been redemptive.
Huge respect for these lads. Not only the will to win personified but gracious & courteous too

We need more such examples of people stepping up to clean litter thrown by their fellow audience. Not only is it our social responsibility, but those littering will also feel a sense of shame the next time they try to make a mess.
